After we pinpoint the slab leak, we repair it. Three options depending on location and access: single-spot slab repair (open one area, fix, patch), re-route (bypass the bad pipe through wall or attic — leaves slab untouched), or full re-pipe of the affected line. We'll show you all three with honest pricing.
Single-spot slab repair is the fastest and cheapest option when the leak is in a reachable spot. We open ONE area of slab (typically 12-18 inches), cut out the bad section of pipe, splice in new copper or PEX, pressure-test, then patch the slab. The opening becomes a small tiled or carpeted spot. Most homeowners can live with it.
Re-routing avoids opening the slab entirely. Instead, we abandon the bad section under the slab and run a new line through the wall or attic to bypass it. This is the right call when the leak is under tile (hard to patch invisibly), or when the homeowner doesn't want to disturb the slab. Slightly more expensive but the floor stays untouched.
Full re-pipe of the affected line is the right call when the existing copper or galvanized has multiple weak points. If the slab leak is the second or third one, the whole line is on borrowed time — replacing the whole line costs more upfront but saves you from another leak in a year or two.

Detection $350-$600. Repair $650-$1,800 single-spot or re-route. Full line $1,800-$3,500. Call (702) 682-1626 for an honest phone estimate.
Depends on floor finish and leak location. Easy-to-patch areas (concrete garage, carpet over slab): repair. Tile or hardwood floor: re-route is usually worth the extra cost to keep the floor intact.
If it's tile or hardwood: the patched area will be visible because matching tile or wood color exactly is hard. If it's carpet or vinyl: usually invisible after repair. For high-value finishes, we'll usually recommend re-route.
Single-spot repair: usually 4-6 hours. Re-route: 4-8 hours depending on complexity. Most jobs done same day.
The water damage almost always covered. The actual leak repair sometimes covered, sometimes not — depends on policy. We provide documentation either way.
