Mainline service leaks are one of the most common Vegas plumbing failures — especially in homes 25+ years old with galvanized or polybutylene service lines. We repair single-spot leaks or replace the entire mainline with PEX-A or copper, code-compliant and warranted.
Vegas homes 25+ years old often have galvanized steel or polybutylene mainline service. Galvanized rusts from the inside, polybutylene weakens at fittings. Once one starts leaking, others usually follow within a year or two. So while a single-spot repair fixes the current leak cheaply, full mainline replacement is often the smarter long-term call.
Newer homes (1995+) usually have PEX or copper mainlines, which last much longer. For these, single-spot repair is usually the right call — repair the specific damaged area, pressure-test, backfill, and the rest of the line should be good for years.
Full mainline replacement is a one-day job: we dig a narrow trench from the meter to the house, lay new PEX-A or copper, connect at both ends, pressure-test, backfill, and restore sod. We pull permits when required, schedule the city water shutoff, and coordinate with the meter inspection.

Repair $650-$1,400. Full replacement $1,800-$4,500 depending on length and material. Call (702) 682-1626 for an honest phone estimate.
If the line is old galvanized or polybutylene: replace. The rest of the line will keep failing. If the line is newer PEX or copper: usually just repair the specific failure point.
PEX-A is cheaper, flexible, freeze-tolerant. Copper is traditional, durable, and has a longer track record. Both meet code. Most Vegas replacements go with PEX-A because of cost and flexibility.
Usually one day — dig the trench, lay the line, connect, pressure-test, backfill. Sometimes a second day for sod restoration.
